NaVorro Bowman Jr. reportedly commits to UConn for 2027 class
The Notre Dame High School point guard is ranked No. 12 overall by ESPN and would become UConn’s first reported commitment in the 2027 class.
NaVorro Bowman Jr., a highly rated point guard from Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California, has reportedly committed to the University of Connecticut and coach Dan Hurley.
The commitment was reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. ESPN ranks Bowman Jr. No. 12 overall in its 2027 high school class and fifth among point guards.
Bowman Jr. is the son of former San Francisco 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman. He reportedly also received interest from Illinois, Texas, Arizona, North Carolina and Kentucky.
Rivals national recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw described Bowman Jr. as a confident, physical lead guard with strong defensive ability. Shaw also highlighted his capacity to get into the paint, make reads and finish against defensive pressure.
If confirmed, Bowman Jr. would be UConn’s first reported commitment in the 2027 class. The move follows a season in which UConn reached the national championship game before losing to Michigan, while the programme also added transfer players including Nikolas Khamenia from Duke.
