NASCAR 2027 Cup Series Schedule Released Amidst Venue Uncertainty
The governing body has published initial dates for the upcoming season, maintaining the previous year’s event count while leaving the status of two potential street circuits undetermined.
NASCAR has released the initial confirmed dates for the 2027 Cup Series schedule, which will comprise 38 events. The announcement comes as tracks begin to publicise their calendars to facilitate ticket sales, though the schedule remains subject to change regarding specific venue confirmations. The total number of races will remain unchanged from the previous season, providing a consistent framework for the upcoming campaign.
Key dates have been established for the opening segment of the season, beginning with the Clash at Daytona on 13 February and the Daytona 500 on 21 February. Subsequent confirmed races include events in Atlanta on 28 February, Austin on 7 March, Phoenix on 14 March, and Las Vegas on 21 March. Additional confirmed dates extend through April and May, with races scheduled for Darlington, Bristol, Talladega, Texas, and Charlotte.
The broadcasting rights for the 38-race season are distributed across four major networks. FOX Sports, including FS1, will retain coverage for the first 14 events. Prime will broadcast the next five races, followed by five events on TNT. The final 14 events of the season will be aired on USA Sports, which includes USA and NBC.
While many traditional calendar slots have been marked as expected, the status of potential returns to Naval Base Coronado and the Chicago street course remains undetermined. The Chicago event follows a one-year hiatus, and both venues are currently excluded from the confirmed list of dates. Tracks not yet officially announced but falling on traditional weekends, such as Memorial Day and Labor Day, are indicated with an asterisk in the schedule.
The full list of announced dates includes races in Iowa, Atlanta, Bristol, Daytona, Darlington, New Hampshire, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Talladega between July and October. The schedule is expected to be updated as more tracks finalise their agreements and confirm their participation in the 2027 season.
