Mova launches V70 Ultra Complete robot vacuum with articulating mop arm
The new device features an extending mop arm and side brush designed to clean under furniture, offering a lower-cost alternative to Dreame’s flagship models.
Mova has launched the V70 Ultra Complete robot vacuum and mop in the United States, priced at US$1,299.99. The device is designed to address a common limitation of autonomous floor cleaners: their inability to navigate around low furniture such as kitchen stools and dining chairs. By incorporating mechanical extensions, the unit aims to access areas where debris typically accumulates.
The V70 Ultra Complete features an articulating mop arm that extends nearly seven inches from the robot’s body, alongside a side brush that reaches five inches. These appendages allow the device to clean under counter stools and around chair legs without requiring the user to manually move furniture. The system is designed to sweep debris and scrub hard-to-reach edges, targeting the dust and crumbs that often collect in these confined spaces.
The unit is powered by 42,000Pa suction and dual roller brushes. It utilises lidar for navigation and cameras for obstacle detection. The robot is capable of lifting itself over thresholds of approximately 3.5 inches and automatically removes its mops when transitioning to carpeted areas to prevent moisture damage.
Mova, a sub-brand of Dreame, positions the V70 Ultra Complete as a more compact and affordable alternative to Dreame’s $1,500 flagship X60 Max Ultra Complete. Dreame previously showcased similar articulating arm technology on the X60 Pro earlier this year, although that model has not yet launched in the US market. The V70 represents an evolution of the split mop pad technology Dreame pioneered, adding a robotic arm to extend cleaning reach further.
The device includes a multifunction base station that cleans and dries the mop and empties the dust bin. Unlike some competitors, the base station uses a canister rather than disposable bags, which users must empty manually when full. While the build quality is described as less premium than Dreame’s higher-end models, the V70 offers a targeted solution for households with specific furniture configurations.
The launch follows a period of rapid innovation in robotic home appliances, where manufacturers are increasingly adding mechanical limbs to overcome physical obstacles. The V70 Ultra Complete is available for purchase immediately, with early testing suggesting it effectively cleans under standard kitchen furniture.
