MotoAmerica Superbikes and Vintage MotoFest set for Road America this weekend
Josh Herrin, Matthew Scholtz, and Hayden Gillim headline the field as the premier American road racing series returns to Wisconsin’s largest track.

The MotoAmerica Superbikes and Vintage MotoFest weekend is scheduled to take place from 29 to 31 May at Road America in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. The event will see more than 150 riders, ranging from entry-level teens to established international veterans, compete across five distinct classes: Superbike, Supersport, King of the Baggers, Twins Cup, and Royal Enfield BTR.
Road America, an internationally recognised 4-mile road course situated on 640 acres between Elkhart Lake and Plymouth, serves as the primary venue. The track, with its main entrance off Highway 67, is scheduled to host further professional and amateur motorsport events later in the year, including IndyCar in June and IMSA sports cars in July. Since 2015, MotoAmerica has promoted road racing sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association and the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme.
Key contenders for the Superbike class include Matthew Scholtz, who has won three of the four races this season riding for Strack Racing Yamaha. Sean Dylan Kelly sits second in the Superbike points standings with three podium finishes, competing for OrangeCat Racing, a BMW team in its first season in the class. In the King of the Baggers series, the Vance & Hines team, now campaigning Indian motorcycles, has secured three of four round victories with Hayden Gillim.
Josh Herrin, who won both Road America Superbike rounds in 2025, has switched to the Supersport class this season with Rahal Ducati Moto. Herrin has won three of the five rounds so far, including the Daytona 200. He is joined on the team by 18-year-old Kayla Yaakov, who has reached the podium in four of five rounds and set a track record at Barber Motorsports Park.
Race schedules include practice and qualifying sessions throughout Friday for all five classes, with qualifying continuing on Saturday morning. The premier Superbike races are set for 3:12 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, followed by the King of the Baggers at 4:05 p.m. Admission is priced at $40 for Friday, $65 for Saturday and Sunday, or $115 for the full weekend, with free entry for those 16 and under accompanied by a paid adult. Races will be broadcast live on ViceTV, available via streaming services and Samsung TV Plus. Additional attractions include a motorcycle ride-in bike show on Saturday and a free shuttle departing at 5 p.m. on Friday to the Dairyland Classic Flat Track races at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds.
