Facebook officially rolls out its standalone Creator Studio app with AI tools for creators
Facebook’s new iOS application aims to retain creators against TikTok and YouTube by integrating generative assistance for content strategy and community management.

Meta has officially launched a standalone Creator Studio application for iOS in the United States and Canada, introducing an integrated artificial intelligence assistant designed to streamline content management. The release follows a limited testing phase with select creators, expanding access to a tool that consolidates performance data and community engagement features into a single interface.

The application’s core offering is an AI creator assistant that provides personalised recommendations on posting schedules, audience engagement strategies, and content style. Rather than requiring creators to manually interpret complex dashboards, the tool allows users to ask direct questions such as “When should I post?” and “What are people saying in my comments?” The system supports follow-up queries to refine these insights based on specific performance goals.

New features include an AI-powered comment tool that identifies high-priority interactions and drafts replies in the creator’s distinct tone. Creators retain full control, with the ability to edit and approve suggested responses before they are published. Upon opening the app daily, users are presented with a priority feed highlighting post performance, goal tracking, and flagged comments requiring attention.

The strategic intent behind the launch is to bolster creator retention on Facebook amid intensifying competition from rivals such as TikTok and YouTube. By embedding these capabilities directly into the platform, Meta seeks to reduce creators’ reliance on third-party analysis tools and external generative AI services for content ideation and performance review.

This release continues Meta’s recent product expansion, which has seen the introduction of several standalone applications in recent months. These include Forum, a standalone app for Facebook Groups; Instants, for disappearing photo sharing; Pocket, a gaming application; and StoryKit, an AI-driven tool for generating children’s stories.
