Inter Miami face Cruz Azul in the Campeones Cup final on Wednesday, with the winner to be decided between Major League Soccer and Liga MX opposition.

The match is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET in Miami and will be streamed on Apple TV. The supplied CBS Sports report lists the venue as Nu Stadium.

It will be Inter Miami’s first match under Cristian Gonzalez. The club, described as the defending MLS Cup champions and positioned in the Eastern Conference playoff places, have drawn their past three matches.

The Campeones Cup has been contested since 2018. No MLS club has won the competition since New York City FC defeated Atlas in 2022.

Messi could face Cruz Azul’s Argentine star José Paradela. Market prices listed by CBS Sports put Inter Miami at -125, with Cruz Azul at +250 and a draw at +290.

MLS and Liga MX clubs also meet in the Concacaf Champions Cup and Leagues Cup, providing a broader backdrop to a final that offers both teams an opportunity to reset their seasons.
