McGonigle and Stewart lead 2026 MLB Rookie of the Year betting markets
Fox Sports lists Detroit’s Kevin McGonigle and Cincinnati’s Sal Stewart as the leading candidates in odds published on 19 September.

Detroit Tigers shortstop Kevin McGonigle and Cincinnati Reds first baseman Sal Stewart are the betting-market favourites for the 2026 American League and National League Rookie of the Year awards, according to odds reported by Fox Sports.
McGonigle leads the American League market at -1200 with bet365 Sportsbook. Cleveland Guardians pitcher Parker Messick is next at +750, followed by Boston Red Sox pitcher Payton Tolle at +7000.
Fox Sports cited McGonigle’s .267 batting average, 17 home runs, 70 RBIs and 6.8 WAR. The report also said he ranked first in the American League for WAR, with 160 hits and a .377 on-base percentage.
Stewart leads the National League market at -3000. New York Mets pitcher Nolan McLean is listed at +1800, while St Louis Cardinals infielder JJ Wetherholt is at +2500.
The Fox Sports report cited Stewart’s 110 RBIs, 32 home runs and 160 hits. The figures and odds are a snapshot from 19 September and do not confirm either player as an award winner. Fox Sports disclosed that it may receive compensation from eligible betting partners.
