Julien Beaumer leads every lap to win Carson SMX Moto 1
Beaumer converted the holeshot into a start-to-finish victory at Dignity Health Sports Park, while Cole Davies’ late crash reshaped the battle for the top five.
Julien Beaumer won Moto 1 at Round 2 of the 2026 SuperMotocross Playoffs after taking the holeshot and leading all 24 laps at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, according to Yahoo Sports.
Beaumer established a margin over Ryder DiFrancesco in the opening laps as Cole Davies moved forward from fifth. Davies took fourth from Levi Kitchen on Lap 5 and third from Drew Adams one lap later.
The contest for the minor positions remained close through the middle stage of the race. With about five minutes remaining, Davies crashed after attempting an inside move through the split lane and lost more than 10 seconds.
Adams inherited fourth after the incident, while Kayden Minear moved into fifth as Kitchen faded. Chance Hymas, who had been in contention for a top-five finish, fell outside the top 10 after a crash.
Kitchen had won the opening round of the playoffs in Ohio with a 2-2 moto score. The complete finishing order and official points implications for Round 2 were not provided.
