Marseille are expected to rotate their line-up for Thursday night’s UEFA Europa League opener against Besiktas, with coach Bruno Genesio set to give opportunities to fringe players.
Keyliane Abdallah is projected to start on the right of Marseille’s attack, while Amine Harit could move into a more central role. Angel Gomes may drop out of the starting line-up.
L’Équipe, as cited in the report carried by Yahoo Sports, says Ulisses Garcia is expected to replace Emerson at left-back. Derek Cornelius may also come into central defence in place of Nayef Aguerd.
The projected line-up is Jeffrey De Lange; Ulisses Garcia, Derek Cornelius, CJ Egan-Riley, Timothy Weah; Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Himad Abdelli; Igor Paixao, Amine Harit, Keyliane Abdallah; and Amine Gouiri.
Geoffrey Kondogbia and Tochukwu Nnadi remain sidelined with injuries, according to the report, and are not expected to return before the international break. The projected team remains unconfirmed.
