Manchester United begin Champions League return with 4-0 win

Manchester United marked their return to the Champions League with a 4-0 victory over Sabah at Old Trafford, according to France 24 International.

Matheus Cunha opened the scoring before Bruno Fernandes and Benjamin Šeško added goals to give United control by half-time. Lisandro Martínez completed the scoring in the second half.

Sabah threatened briefly when Joy-Lance Mickels headed wide from close range, but United finished the match comfortably. Manager Michael Carrick used the result to rest players ahead of Sunday’s Manchester derby.

Bayern Munich defeated Bodø/Glimt 5-0, with Harry Kane and Michael Olise among the scorers. Olise struck twice, while Jamal Musiala scored after returning to the scoresheet following his pre-season collapse, which he has associated with a neurological condition.

Como won 4-1 against RB Leipzig on their European debut under former Barcelona and Spain midfielder Cesc Fàbregas. Elsewhere, Lens beat Slavia Prague 3-2, while Fenerbahçe drew 1-1 with Roma and PSV Eindhoven drew 1-1 with Shakhtar Donetsk.
