At least 11 killed in attack on Durban house party

At least 11 people, including a pregnant woman, were killed when armed men attacked a house party in a Durban township late Tuesday, KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli said. Two people survived.
The assailants entered shortly before 11pm while guests were gathered at the home. Their identities and relationship to those at the party have not been established.
Local broadcaster eNCA reported that the attackers forced people into one room before opening fire, then set alight a car belonging to a victim.
Police said preliminary investigations indicated some of those killed were on Crime Intelligence’s radar over suspected illegal activities, without giving further details. The police said the motive had not been confirmed and a feud between rival groups could not be ruled out.
