Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said a Russian strike on Saturday damaged the Northern Bridge, disrupting a route across the capital.

Klitschko said the strike damaged the bridge’s road surface and trolleybus overhead wires. Traffic from the left bank towards the right bank was blocked, and emergency services were sent to the scene.

The Northern Bridge is the second major bridge in Kyiv reported targeted in recent days. The Southern Bridge has faced repeated attacks since Thursday, including drone strikes, with disruption to road traffic and metro services, according to the supplied account.

After a crisis meeting on Friday, Klitschko described the city’s situation as “very dramatic” as critical infrastructure and other facilities were being hit.

The account relies on Klitschko’s statements and provides no independent confirmation of the strike or damage. It does not establish the weapon used or the full extent of the damage.
