Kentucky football has officially added running back Mason Ball to its 2027 recruiting class, marking the programme’s fourth commitment of the week. The three-star recruit from Jacksonville High School in Arkansas selected the Wildcats over offers from Vanderbilt, Arkansas, and North Carolina. Ball’s decision follows a home visit with head coach Will Stein and brings the total number of commitments in the 2027 class to 18.
Ranked as the No. 57 running back nationally by 247Sports, Ball is also considered the top prospect in Arkansas. His statistical output as a junior in 2025 underscores the physical profile Kentucky is seeking. Ball rushed for 1,401 yards and 27 touchdowns, averaging 7.61 yards per carry, while also recording 17 receptions for 131 yards.
The recruitment highlights Kentucky’s ability to secure high-level talent from within the region. By beating Arkansas, Vanderbilt, and North Carolina for Ball’s signature, the Wildcats have demonstrated significant momentum in their recruiting efforts.
