CBS Sports has ranked Jaxson Dart 13th among quarterbacks in its Week 1 fantasy football preview, placing the New York Giants starter just outside the top 12.

The preview says Dart’s rushing ability could increase his fantasy value, but stops short of treating him as a must-start option. His output varied significantly last season: he averaged 25.8 fantasy points per game from Weeks 4 to 10 before averaging fewer than 18 over the final five weeks.

CBS Sports also points to uncertainty around the Giants’ offensive approach under Matt Nagy, with reported input from Greg Roman and Brian Callahan. The team has Malik Nabers back and added Isaiah Likely and Malachi Fields.

Tyler Shough is identified as a player worth considering as a streaming option, although the preview does not provide a ranking, projected score or matchup for him.

The publication cautions that Week 1 projections are likely to change during the week. It also notes that Brock Purdy, Bo Nix and Patrick Mahomes sit outside the early consensus top 12.
