Italy secure first Nations League win as France stay perfect

Italy claimed their first win in the 2026/27 Nations League, beating Türkiye 4-1 away in Group 1’s second matchday. The result followed a 2-0 opening loss to Belgium.
Bastoni, Frattesi and Kayode scored in the first half for Italy, with Esposito adding a fourth after the break. Burak Yılmaz scored Türkiye’s goal early in the second half.
France maintained their perfect start with a 1-0 win over Belgium. Michael Olise scored shortly before stoppage time, giving France a second straight victory by that margin.
France lead the group with six points. Italy and Belgium have three each, while Türkiye have yet to earn a point.
Yahoo Sports reported that France are scheduled to play Italy in Paris next Friday (2), with Belgium due to host Türkiye on the same day.
