Israeli strikes in Lebanon kill at least three despite Hezbollah ceasefire
Strikes reportedly hit five locations in the Tyre, Nabatieh and Beqaa regions, according to Lebanon’s health ministry.
Israeli strikes on southern and eastern Lebanon killed at least three people and wounded 23 late on Friday, according to Lebanon’s health ministry, in attacks reported despite a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.
France 24 reported that the ministry said strikes hit five locations across the Tyre and Nabatieh regions in the south and the Beqaa region in the east.
Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported that two young men were killed while riding a motorcycle in Nabatieh. The agency also reported a strike near the strategic Ali al-Taher ridge.
The Israeli army said it had captured the ridge, although Hezbollah did not confirm that it had lost the position.
In the Tyre-area village of Rmadiyeh, the health ministry said one person was killed and 15 wounded, including two children, three women and six rescuers. The ministry’s casualty figures may be revised.
