Honda Prologue sales outpace Chevy Blazer EV amid CarPlay split
A blog post citing US sales comparisons says Honda’s closely related Prologue led Chevrolet’s Blazer EV by 43%, 73% and 166% across reported periods.
The Honda Prologue reportedly outsold the closely related Chevrolet Blazer EV in each of three US sales comparisons covering 2024, 2025 and January to June 2026, according to a blog post carried by Hacker News.
The post cites a 43% Prologue advantage in 2024, followed by 73% in 2025 and 166% in the first half of 2026. The 2026 comparison covers January through June and is not a full-year result.
The vehicles share General Motors underpinnings, but the Prologue has Honda branding, styling and interior differences. It also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, features that the Blazer EV does not offer.
General Motors has said newer vehicles, including Chevrolet electric vehicles, would omit Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in favour of an integrated Android Automotive operating system. The blog post argues that the sales gap may reflect buyer demand for smartphone integration.
The figures do not establish that CarPlay or Android Auto caused the Prologue’s stronger sales. Pricing, availability, marketing, incentives and other differences between the vehicles may also have influenced results, while the post does not provide the underlying sales figures or the precise denominators for each comparison.
