Gloucestershire end losing run with 213-run win over Derbyshire

Gloucestershire ended a six-match losing streak by defeating Derbyshire by 213 runs in the County Championship Division Two match at Bristol’s Seat Unique Stadium.
Defending 319, Gloucestershire dismissed Derbyshire for 105 inside 39 overs. Sai Kishore led the attack with 5-20 from 18 overs, while Ollie Price took three wickets and Ed Middleton claimed two.
Gloucestershire’s spin attack took all 10 Derbyshire wickets in the second innings. Derbyshire’s approach had focused on survival rather than chasing the target, according to the match report from Yahoo Sports.
The victory followed a recovery from Gloucestershire’s difficult start, after they were reduced to 37-5 on the opening day. They declared at 359-5, with Miles Hammond making 118 and James Bracey unbeaten on 104.
Hammond and Bracey added 165 for the fourth wicket. According to the report, Bracey became the first Gloucestershire batter since Alex Gidman in 2007 to score two centuries in the same first-class match.
The win earned Gloucestershire 19 points. Their two victories this season have both come against Derbyshire, who left Bristol with four points.
