Five killed, 67 injured in reported drone strike on Pavlohrad shopping centre

Five people were killed and 67 injured when a drone struck a shopping centre in central Pavlohrad, Ukrainian officials said.
Regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha said eight of the injured were children. Shops and vehicles were damaged in the daylight attack, which Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi said occurred while the streets were crowded.
Ukrainian officials attributed responsibility to Russia. President Volodymyr Zelensky offered condolences to the victims’ families, while Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha described the attack as an attempt to pressure Ukraine.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine released images showing firefighters working amid smoke and burning vehicles. The casualty figures and attribution have not been independently verified in the available material.
Pavlohrad, a logistics hub near Dnipro, has previously been targeted. Ukrainian media said shopping centres in Sumy and Zaporizhzhia had also been hit by Russian strikes earlier in the week.
