Fallica’s 2026 College Football Rankings Challenge Official Polls
Fox Sports analyst Chris Fallica releases personal preseason top 10, placing Ole Miss, LSU, and Oklahoma ahead of defending champions Indiana.

Chris "The Bear" Fallica has published his personal 2026 college football preseason top 10 rankings, offering a distinct alternative to the established AP and Coaches Polls. The Fox Sports analyst argues that previous season results should not dictate current standings, emphasising that new rosters and player movements via the transfer portal have fundamentally altered the competitive landscape.
Fallica’s list features Ole Miss, LSU, and Oklahoma as the leading contenders, with Georgia and Indiana also securing spots in the top tier. The rankings incorporate specific betting odds for each team’s chances of reaching the College Football Playoff (CFP) and winning the national title, providing a quantitative backdrop to the qualitative analysis.
Ole Miss is highlighted despite significant coaching turnover, with Charlie Weis Jr. no longer serving as head coach. The Rebels are viewed as capable of competing against any opponent, bolstered by Trinidad Chambliss at quarterback and Kewan Lacy at running back. Betting markets assign Ole Miss CFP odds of +200 and national title odds of +3000.
LSU is ranked based on its perceived top-10 talent level, though Fallica acknowledges uncertainty regarding how the squad will perform against its specific schedule. The Tigers carry CFP odds of +160 and title odds of +1700. Oklahoma is identified as a prime candidate for a discrepancy between power ratings and win-loss records, with a strong defence offset by concerns over the offensive line and running back position.
Georgia is noted as the only SEC team Fallica is confident will win 10 games, citing an improved defence and a favourable schedule. The Bulldogs have CFP odds of -240 and title odds of +850. Indiana, the 2025 national champions, is ranked with CFP odds of -350 and title odds of +900, aided by the return of Stephan Daley and Kellan Wyatt following a court ruling.
Fallica acknowledges the inherent unreliability of preseason predictions, citing his previous incorrect forecast regarding Penn State’s CFP chances before James Franklin was dismissed in mid-October of the prior season. The full top 10 list includes these five teams, with the remaining positions left to be determined as the season progresses.
