Eye Of Dubai targets third straight Ripon handicap win
Fresh from winning the Ayr Bronze Cup, Eye Of Dubai returns to Ripon carrying a mark 5lb higher, according to Sky Sports Racing’s preview.
Eye Of Dubai is aiming for a third consecutive victory in Saturday afternoon’s Cathedral City Of The Dales Handicap at Ripon. The five-year-old, trained by John and Sean Quinn, won the Ayr Bronze Cup the previous weekend.
Sky Sports Racing’s preview says Eye Of Dubai will carry a mark 5lb higher at Ripon. The race also features Stalemate Dark Thirty, who was third at the Curragh and has been given a 2lb drop in the weights. Trefor and Indian Run, closely matched after finishing first and third at Windsor in August, are also among the runners.
The broadcast card includes the seven-runner Joe Hirsch Stakes, with European runners El Cordobes and Pride Of Arras among those highlighted. El Cordobes finished third in last year’s race and later placed third in the Breeders’ Cup Turf. He has not raced since February.
Pride Of Arras steps up to Grade 1 company after winning the Group 3 September Stakes at Kempton. The Sky Sports Racing preview also lists racing at Southwell and Belmont Park on its Saturday card.
