The extension is due to begin in 2027–28. If Curry exercises the option, the reported terms would take him through 2029 and could bring his earnings across the next three seasons to US$178.5 million, including the final year of his existing contract.
Curry’s current deal pays US$62.6 million in 2026–27, according to the source report. ESPN reports the extension would pay US$55.7 million in 2027–28, followed by a US$60.2 million player option.
The 38-year-old averaged 26.6 points, 4.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds last season, appearing in 43 games because of injuries. He has won four NBA titles with Golden State and is the league’s career leader in three-pointers, the source reports.
