Expedia Promotes Up to 75% Off Hotel Stays Amid Competitive Travel Discount Landscape
The travel giant is highlighting specific discounts at the Menger Hotel, Caesars Palace, and Shinjuku Granbell Hotel, while pushing its integrated rewards ecosystem.

Expedia has launched a promotional campaign offering online coupons for hotel stays with discounts of up to 75 per cent. The initiative highlights specific savings at major properties, including 25 per cent off at the Menger Hotel, 37 per cent off at Caesars Palace, and 40 per cent off at the Shinjuku Granbell Hotel. The promotion also features a 'Weekend Escapes' section providing up to 20 per cent off on hotels, flights, and vacation rentals.
Central to the campaign is the OneKey loyalty program, which integrates rewards across Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo. Members of OneKey can access savings of 10 per cent or more on over half-a-million stays globally. The program operates on a straightforward basis where $1 in OneKeyCash converts to $1 usable on eligible bookings, covering hotels, car rentals, and flights.
Expedia is actively promoting a tiered reward structure to drive engagement. Current incentives include an offer for members to earn $350 in OneKeyCash for spending $3,000 within the first three months of membership. Additionally, users can receive a $100 anniversary bonus. Higher tiers, achieved through booking frequency, unlock perks such as free room upgrades at select VIP Access properties and price drop protection for flights.
The move aligns with broader industry trends observed in May 2026, where competitors like Priceline have similarly utilised VIP rewards structures and promotional codes to drive engagement. Industry reports from WIRED noted that Priceline was offering a 10 per cent discount for users signing up for its VIP rewards program, alongside specific promo codes such as F0B22DYZL6 and SUMMERSTAY for immediate application on deals.
Expedia’s search platform allows users to filter for specific amenities, including pet-friendly stays, spas, and romantic cabins. The campaign targets a wide range of destinations, with discounted stays available in locations such as Mexico, Hawaii, New York, the Dominican Republic, Chicago, Orlando, and Las Vegas. The company encourages frequent checks for new coupons to maximise savings on future travel plans.
