Engadget weighs Lenovo, Insta360 and Garmin gadgets in latest review roundup

Engadget has published a roundup of gadget reviews conducted over the preceding two weeks, spanning laptops, cameras, activity trackers, earbuds, home audio, headphones and e-readers.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14 received praise from Engadget for its speed, light weight and high-quality OLED display. The publication said the laptop retains a conventional ThinkPad design aimed at the brand’s established users, rather than buyers seeking a more stylised machine.

Engadget described the Insta360 Luna Pro as a flexible single-lens gimbal camera. Its review also questioned whether the additional zoom lens, discussed in comparison with the Luna Ultra, justified the reported $170 upgrade.

The Garmin Cirqa, a screen-less activity tracker, was judged insufficiently compelling against cheaper alternatives and Whoop. Engadget’s reviewer said the device did not offer enough of the features associated with Whoop, while Garmin sells a less expensive lightweight tracker.

Sennheiser’s Momentum True Wireless 5 was praised for its detailed, warm sound. Engadget nevertheless identified audio quirks and said the earbuds’ active noise cancellation and call quality lagged behind leading premium rivals.

The roundup also included testing of the Sony Bravia Theater Trio, Bose’s second-generation QuietComfort Headphones and the Boox Go 6 (Gen II), which includes a stylus for taking notes directly in books. Engadget said reviews of newly announced Apple devices were forthcoming.
