Dover closes golf season 26-4 after tiebreak loss

Dover tied Pinkerton Academy at 199 at Pease Golf, but lost the tiebreaker and finished second in the four-team match.

Dover High finished its regular-season golf schedule with a 26-4 record after placing second in a four-team Division I match at Pease Golf on Tuesday, 6 October.

Dover and Pinkerton Academy each recorded a team score of 199, with Pinkerton taking the match on a tiebreaker. Nashua North scored 215 and Nashua South 216.

Ty Buchanan led Dover with a one-under-par 35. Michael Gorman shot 38, Brayden Patel 40 and Sam MacGregor 41; Ryan Sawyer and Declan Fitzgerald each shot 45.

The Yahoo Sports report said Dover is expected to be the No. 3 seed for next week’s Division I team championship at Canterbury Woods Country Club. The seeding has not been confirmed in the supplied report.
