Jalon Daniels is expected to make his first NFL start when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Green Bay Packers in Week 4. The undrafted rookie is set to replace Baker Mayfield, who dislocated his right thumb in Week 3.

The Buccaneers said Mayfield is expected to miss at least three weeks. His absence will end a run of 57 consecutive starts for Tampa Bay, including the postseason, according to the team.

Tampa Bay elevated quarterback Easton Stick and linebacker Caden Fordham from the practice squad on Saturday. Stick is expected to serve as Daniels’ backup.

Daniels joined the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent after six seasons at Kansas. The team says he will be its first undrafted rookie to start at quarterback in a regular-season game.

Tampa Bay entered Week 4 at 0–3, while Green Bay was 1–2, according to Yahoo Sports. The available report described Daniels’ start as expected; it did not confirm the game outcome.
