England have recalled Mason Crane for the one-day international tri-series in Pakistan, where they will face Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The 29-year-old leg-spinner could earn his first England appearance in eight years, though his selection does not guarantee a match.

Crane has one Test cap and two T20 international appearances. BBC Sport reports he took 34 County Championship wickets this season and scored his first two first-class hundreds.

Sam Curran and Adil Rashid return after injuries. Uncapped James Coles and Henry Crocombe are also included, while Jofra Archer is rested.

Jos Buttler is unavailable with a hamstring injury, and Jacob Bethell is continuing his recovery from knee surgery. Brydon Carse remains absent while under investigation by the Cricket Regulator; no finding is reported.

The three teams will play each other twice, with the top two advancing to the final. England are due to play three one-day internationals and five T20s in Australia in November, before three Tests in South Africa in December.
