England have named a 16-player squad for the ODI tri-series in Pakistan, recalling Adil Rashid and Sam Curran after their injuries. The team is scheduled to play Pakistan and Sri Lanka twice each, with the final set for 31 October.

Rashid missed the recent ODI matches against Sri Lanka with a hand injury. Curran, who underwent groin surgery in August, is on track to be ready for the series, though the announcement did not confirm either player’s availability for specific matches.

Mason Crane, James Coles and Henry Crocombe are the uncapped players selected. Their inclusion does not confirm they will make their ODI debuts.

Jofra Archer has been rested to manage his workload after a busy summer, with tours of Australia and South Africa ahead during the winter. Jos Buttler is unavailable after suffering a hamstring injury against Sri Lanka last month; no return date was given.

England selector Marcus North said the series would give the ODI squad an opportunity to face strong opposition in different conditions. The schedule runs from 18 October, with matches in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
