College football Week 3 delivers ranked upsets and decisive individual performances
Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell starred as Kentucky upset Texas A&M, Louisville beat SMU and Vanderbilt secured a last-second win over NC State.

Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell produced the weekend’s standout individual display, recording 320 passing yards, 56 rushing yards and four total touchdowns as the No. 10 Crimson Tide recovered from a 15-point deficit against Florida State.
Kentucky defeated No. 9 Texas A&M by 10 points after opening a 28–7 lead. The result was coach Will Stein’s first road SEC win and gave Kentucky its first top-10 victory under Stein. Texas A&M faces LSU, Texas, Alabama and Tennessee in its remaining schedule.
Vanderbilt beat NC State 35–31 after recovering a fumble in the end zone during the final seconds. The play followed a late attempt by NC State to protect a three-point lead, with replay review restoring one second to the clock.
No. 23 Louisville defeated No. 16 SMU 41–31 after Keyjuan Brown and Isaac Brown each broke away for late touchdown runs. The result strengthened Louisville’s position in the ACC title race.
Ole Miss led No. 7 LSU 17–0 at half-time, with Trinidad Chambliss completing 15 of 19 passes for 173 yards and a touchdown. At Ohio State, receiver Smith became the school’s career leader in receiving yards after recording 85 yards against Kent State.
