A Saudi-led coalition says a drone struck Medina’s Taibah electricity distribution station on 29 September. The coalition blamed the Houthis, who denied involvement.

The coalition said the strike took one transformer out of service but did not affect the wider electricity network. It said the station supplies the Prophet’s Mosque.

The coalition said its investigation and examination of drone wreckage implicated the Houthis. That account has not been independently verified in the supplied material, and responsibility remains disputed.

Turkey, Qatar, the League of Arab States and Al-Azhar condemned the alleged attack. Their statements did not establish who carried it out.

The report also described intensified fighting in Yemen. Government forces said they had struck Houthi targets, while explosions were heard in Sanaa; the reported strikes and their targets have not been independently confirmed.
