CBS Sports places Brock Purdy among Week 2’s top-five fantasy quarterbacks
The San Francisco 49ers quarterback’s three-touchdown opener and projected match-up against Miami have lifted his standing, while Patrick Mahomes remains outside the top 12.

Brock Purdy has been rated among the top-five fantasy quarterbacks for Week 2 by CBS Sports, with the assessment based on his three-touchdown opening game and a projected favourable match-up against the Miami Dolphins.
The ranking is a pre-game fantasy projection rather than a confirmed performance outcome. CBS Sports’ assessment may change before Week 2 begins.
Baker Mayfield has been named CBS Sports’ Start of the Week and is viewed as a top-10 fantasy quarterback against Cleveland. The Browns allowed Trevor Lawrence to score 34.1 fantasy points in Week 1.
Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes are currently ranked outside CBS Sports’ top 12. Herbert scored 15.3 fantasy points against Arizona in Week 1, although his standing could improve against Las Vegas.
Herbert’s ranking remains linked to the availability of Ladd McConkey, who has a rib injury. CBS Sports indicated it would have less confidence in Herbert if McConkey is unavailable.
Mahomes scored 25.7 fantasy points against Denver, including two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown, but threw for 184 yards and one interception. CBS Sports said he was not yet a must-start quarterback for his match-up against Indianapolis.
