CBS Sports panel split on NFL Week 2 betting lines
Jordan Dajani and Jared Dubin agree on several winners but differ on the margin in selected Week 2 match-ups.
CBS Sports writers Jordan Dajani and Jared Dubin have published their selections for several NFL Week 2 games, with betting lines recorded on 15 September. The picks are opinions and betting selections, rather than confirmed results or forecasts from the NFL.
Both writers backed Buffalo to defeat Detroit in the first regular-season game at the new Highmark Stadium. Dajani selected the Bills to win 36–30 and cover the 4.5-point line, while Dubin predicted a 35–31 Buffalo victory but backed the Lions to stay within the spread.
The writers also agreed on Houston against Cincinnati, selecting the Texans at -2.5. Dajani projected a 27–23 Houston win, while Dubin forecast a 26–24 result. Both picked Baltimore to beat New Orleans but selected the Saints to cover a 7.5-point line.
New England v Pittsburgh produced a split. Dajani predicted a 16–13 Patriots win but backed the Steelers plus 4.5 points. Dubin also selected New England, with a projected score of 21–13, and favoured the Patriots against the spread.
The writers differed again on Jacksonville v Denver. Dajani picked the Jaguars 24–23, while Dubin selected the Broncos 24–21. Both predicted a Kansas City win over Indianapolis, although Dajani backed the Chiefs to cover -6.5 and Dubin selected the Colts plus 6.5.
Both CBS Sports writers selected the Los Angeles Rams to defeat the New York Giants and cover a seven-point line. The publication noted that player availability and betting markets could change before kickoff.
