The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback edged Justin Herbert and Josh Allen in a field where durability remains the central reservation about his candidacy.
Jahmyr Gibbs was the preferred pick for offensive player of the year after three consecutive Pro Bowl seasons, while Houston edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. led predictions for defensive player of the year. Anderson’s projected challenge includes reigning winner Myles Garrett.
Seattle running back Zachary Price was the leading offensive rookie prediction. The 32nd overall selection is expected to feature prominently in a Seahawks backfield that will use multiple runners, while Dallas defensive back Malik Downs was favoured for the defensive rookie award.
Patrick Mahomes was the preferred comeback player after rehabilitation from knee injuries, with evaluators expecting him to return in Week 1. Green Bay receiver Matthew Golden was the leading breakout candidate following a limited 2025 season and the departure of Romeo Doubs.
