2026 Broncos training camp: Day 10 live updates
Centre carted off during drill; key offensive and defensive players return to full pads ahead of Friday’s preseason opener

The Denver Broncos held Day 10 of publicly open training camp at Broncos Park in Centennial, Colorado, on 11 August 2026. With the team’s first preseason game scheduled for Friday, 14 August 2026, practice sessions are transitioning toward game planning. The camp follows a closed practice session on Wednesday, which resulted in no live updates for the intervening day.

Quarterback Bo Nix demonstrated effective chemistry during team periods, throwing a 15-yard touchdown pass to Pat Bryant. Reports indicated that Nix led his receiver perfectly for the catch, despite tight coverage from Riley Moss. Rookie Jonah Coleman also drew attention for his performance in blitz pickups, a development noted as a positive sign for the team’s offensive line protection.

Injury concerns emerged during a 9-on-7 drill when centre Michael Deiter was carted off the field to the locker room. The specific nature of the injury was not immediately detailed. To cover for the absence of the top three centres, offensive lineman Quinn Meinerz was observed practicing snapping duties. Centre Luke Wattenberg, who had been working on the side field, returned to full pads and may have moved back into individual periods.

Several players remained sidelined or limited in their participation. Wide receivers Jaylen Waddle and Marvin Mims were present but did not engage in significant practice activities, with Waddle observing and Mims dressing out without substantial involvement. Wide receiver Michael Bandy worked on the side field without pads, while linebacker Dasan McCullough did not practice at all. Guard Gargiulo remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list, working on the side field.

On the positive side of the injury report, defensive back Sean Fresch Jr. returned to full pads after a four-practice absence due to a soft tissue issue. Running back J.K. Dobbins also returned to full pads and confirmed to the media that he was okay following the day’s events. The team continues to manage roster health as they prepare for their preseason debut.
