The Los Angeles Dodgers eliminated the Atlanta Braves in Game 4 of the National League Division Series, ending a season in which Atlanta won the NL East with 94 victories. The Braves had added 18 wins on their 2025 total under first-year manager Walt Weiss.

CBS Sports reports that Atlanta’s offseason assessment will include concerns about declining production from Austin Riley and Ozzie Albies, a dip in output from Ronald Acuña Jr., and Sean Murphy’s injuries and limited production. Matt Olson, Drake Baldwin and Michael Harris II remain among the team’s strengths.

Starting pitching is another question. Chris Sale delivered a strong season, but his age and injury history leave uncertainty around the rotation. A free-agent starter could be a target, while shortstop and left field are also cited as needs.

Tarik Skubal and Michael King are among the possible pitching targets raised in the report; no pursuit or signing is confirmed. The Braves have $176 million committed to next season’s payroll before arbitration raises and Acuña’s $17 million club option, leaving the scope of any additions dependent on decisions still to come.

Atlanta enters the offseason after winning its Wild Card Series, but the Dodgers’ win adds to a difficult postseason record since the Braves’ 2021 World Series title. The club’s budget, roster moves and approach to the 2027 season remain unsettled.
