BYU running back LJ Martin is expected to miss four to six weeks with a lower body injury, ESPN reports. The estimate is not a confirmed return date.

Martin was injured in the first half of BYU’s 17–10 win over TCU and was listed as out for the team’s game against Iowa State.

Before the injury, Martin had recorded 344 rushing yards and three touchdowns this season. He was the 2025 Big 12 offensive player of the year.

The report provides no specific diagnosis. The length of his absence remains an estimate.
