At least five blasts were heard in different parts of Sanaa on Saturday, according to a correspondent cited by France 24 International. Another correspondent reported seeing two warplanes fire missiles over the city.

Al-Masirah TV, a Houthi-affiliated outlet, described the incident as “Saudi aggression”. It gave no details about targets or casualties. Saudi authorities had not commented, and the supplied reporting does not independently establish the cause of the blasts or the identity of the aircraft.

Sanaa is controlled by the Houthis, who hold much of north-western Yemen. The group is fighting Yemen’s internationally recognised government, which is backed by Saudi Arabia.

The report says the conflict resumed in July after a fragile truce. Saturday’s reports from Sanaa come amid renewed hostilities, but the details of this incident remain unclear.
