Bills coach Brady confirms Coleman’s role ahead of 2026 season

Buffalo Bills head coach Joe Brady has issued a definitive endorsement of wide receiver Keon Coleman, confirming the player’s continued role within the team’s offensive structure for the 2026 season. The statement was made during media availability ahead of the Bills’ Organized Team Activities (OTA) practice on Tuesday, aiming to stabilise the position group following a challenging period for the 23-year-old receiver.

Coleman, selected 33rd overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, has faced scrutiny after a 2025 campaign that yielded only 404 receiving yards and four touchdowns. The former Florida State product was also listed as a healthy scratch for several matches during that season, leading to questions regarding his long-term viability with the franchise. Despite these statistical outputs, Brady moved quickly to clarify Coleman’s status upon assuming the head coaching role.

“I made sure when I got the job he knew he was going to be here and be a part of our offence,” Brady told reporters. The head coach noted that he has observed positive developments in Coleman’s preparation during the offseason, stating that he “loves what he’s seen so far” regarding the receiver’s current approach and work ethic.

Coleman has characterised the upcoming 2026 season as a “make-or-break” moment for his career, acknowledging the pressure to convert his physical potential into consistent on-field production. The wide receiver, who stands at 6-foot-4, emphasised that falling short of his own high expectations would be a disservice to his professional development.

“I know what I’m capable of, and if I fall short of that, I’m doing myself a disservice,” Coleman said. His comments reflect a personal commitment to establishing himself as a long-term asset for Buffalo, even as the team looks to solidify its offensive strategy for the season ahead.
