Barkley’s week-to-week status leaves Eagles’ backfield uncertain
NFL Network reports the Philadelphia running back’s hamstring injury is not considered long-term, but his availability against Jacksonville has not been established.

Saquon Barkley is reportedly week-to-week with a hamstring injury sustained in the Philadelphia Eagles’ 24–20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. NFL Network reported the injury is not considered long-term, but no return date has been given.
Barkley left Sunday’s game and did not return. Eagles coach Nick Sirianni did not say whether the running back would be available against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. He said Barkley would do everything he could to return.
The Eagles’ running back depth is also in question. NFL Network reports Tank Bigsby is expected to go on injured reserve for core muscle surgery, with a recovery of six weeks or less hoped for. Will Shipley is described as the only healthy running back on Philadelphia’s active roster; Dameon Pierce, Carson Steele and Jaydon Blue are on the practice squad.
Philadelphia also has concerns on the offensive line. NFL Network reports left guard Cam Jurgens is in concussion protocol. Landon Dickerson is on injured reserve with a knee injury.
Barkley had 174 rushing yards on 34 carries across the first three games. He finished against the Rams with two carries for eight yards.
