Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark did not return for the third period against the Boston Bruins on Monday night, with backup Samuel Ersson replacing him after the second intermission.

Ullmark was slow to get up after colliding with Bruins forward JJ Peterka, who had been shoved by Ottawa’s William Eklund with 4:24 remaining in the second period.

The reason for the change was not immediately clear. The Associated Press reported that Ullmark was back on the bench early in the third period.

He had stopped all 15 shots he faced, and Ottawa led 4-0 when he left the game. The available report did not confirm an injury or diagnosis.
