Barcelona’s squad depth tested ahead of Valencia visit
Barcelona are seeking a fourth consecutive league win against Valencia, with Gabriel Jesus and Dominik Livaković reportedly included in the squad and Gavi returning.
Barcelona are scheduled to face Valencia at Mestalla on Sunday, 6 September, with Hansi Flick’s side aiming to extend a reported three-match winning run in La Liga.
According to Yahoo Sports, Barcelona have begun the campaign with victories over Elche, Athletic Club and Rayo Vallecano. The results include a 5–0 win against Elche, a 2–0 victory over Athletic Club and a 5–2 result against Rayo Vallecano.
New arrivals Gabriel Jesus and goalkeeper Dominik Livaković have reportedly been registered and included in the matchday squad. Jesus’s potential debut remains unconfirmed until the official team sheets are released.
Gavi has returned after a lengthy absence, while Lamine Yamal is expected to start despite reportedly missing a full training session with a minor knock. Flick has said Yamal is fit to play.
