Audi unveils A2 e-tron with claimed 646km WLTP range
Audi says its compact A2 e-tron is its most efficient EV yet, with preorders due to open on 10 September ahead of an expected European launch in December.

Audi has unveiled the A2 e-tron, a compact electric vehicle it describes as its most efficient EV to date. The model has a claimed WLTP range of about 646 kilometres and energy consumption of 12.8 kWh per 100 km.
Audi attributes the figures to an aerodynamic design, including refined exterior surfaces, reduced gaps around the wheels and electric door handles integrated into the vehicle’s profile. The design produces a claimed drag coefficient of 0.24.
The A2 e-tron will be offered with 52 kWh, 61 kWh and 84 kWh battery options. Audi says charging from 10 per cent to 80 per cent will take between 24 and 29 minutes, depending on battery size.
The vehicle will also support bidirectional charging, allowing it to power devices such as e-bikes and laptops or act as a backup home battery. Cabin equipment can include an 11.9-inch driver display and a 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen.
Preorders are due to open on 10 September, with a European market launch expected in December. The starting price is €38,200. Audi has positioned the vehicle specifically for European customers, making US availability unlikely.
The range, efficiency, charging performance and “most efficient” designation are Audi claims. The 646-kilometre figure is based on the WLTP test cycle and may not reflect real-world performance.
