Apple set to unveil expected iPhone 18 Pro lineup at September event
Apple’s “Surprise and shine” event will be streamed from Apple Park, with reports pointing to new iPhones, Apple Watches and AirPods.
Apple will hold its “Surprise and shine” launch event at 1pm ET on 9 September at Apple Park in Cupertino, with a livestream available through its website, Apple TV and YouTube, according to The Verge.
The event is expected to centre on the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. Reports cited by The Verge suggest the models could feature larger batteries, a smaller Dynamic Island and a variable-aperture camera, while prices may rise from last year’s levels.
A foldable iPhone is also reportedly under consideration. The device has been referred to as the “iPhone Duo” or “iPhone Ultra Duo” and could use a passport-style design similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8. Apple has not confirmed the product or its release timing.
The base iPhone 18 may not be announced at the event and is reportedly delayed until early 2027, potentially alongside an iPhone 18E and an updated iPhone Air.
Apple may also update its wearable and audio ranges. Reports suggest the Apple Watch Series 12 could include a ceramic case option, new band configurations and additional health features, while AirPods 5 could receive a new chip and health sensors in an iterative upgrade.
Apple has not confirmed the products, specifications, pricing or release schedule described in reports ahead of the event.
