Anthony Joshua crash trial adjourned until 17 November
Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode denies four charges arising from the fatal SUV collision that injured Joshua and killed two members of his team.
The trial of Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, the accused driver in the fatal crash involving boxer Anthony Joshua, has been adjourned from 10 September until 17 November.
The case began in January at a magistrate court in Ogun State over the crash on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway on 29 December 2025. An SUV carrying Joshua and members of his team struck a stationary truck.
Joshua was injured and survived. His personal trainer, Latif Ayodele, and strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami, were killed.
Kayode faces four charges, including dangerous driving causing death, reckless and negligent driving, driving without due care and attention, and operating a vehicle without a valid national driver's licence. He denies the charges.
Prosecutors allege Kayode was attempting to overtake another vehicle when the SUV crashed. The circumstances remain allegations before the court, and the reason for the latest adjournment was not specified.
