Aaron Judge leaves Yankees loss with right lower leg tightness

New York Yankees star Aaron Judge left Wednesday’s 5–4, 13-inning loss to the Minnesota Twins with right lower leg tightness, adding uncertainty to the team’s preparations for the final stages of the season.
Judge went 0 for 2 with two strikeouts before being replaced in the sixth inning. Manager Aaron Boone said Judge would receive treatment before the Yankees assess his status, and that it remained unclear whether he would miss games.
Judge returned on 8 September after missing June, July and August with a fractured top right rib. He hit his first home run since returning on Monday and had Tuesday off as a planned rest day.
The Yankees fell to 88–64 and remain four games behind the Tampa Bay Rays, pending Tampa Bay’s result. New York has already clinched a postseason berth and is assured of at least the second wild-card position.
The team is also managing a hamstring strain affecting outfielder Trent Grisham. Judge’s availability for upcoming games and the postseason has not been determined, according to details reported by CBS Sports.
