Spain beat Croatia 4-1 in Seville on Tuesday, 29 September, to maintain a perfect start in UEFA Nations League Group A3. Lamine Yamal scored twice and assisted Marc Pubill’s goal.

Yamal opened the scoring in the second minute. Croatia drew level through Dion Beljo’s 28th-minute header, but Spain regained the lead less than three minutes later when Pubill headed in Yamal’s cross.

Yamal made it 3-1 in the 63rd minute, collecting a pass from Pedri before scoring from a tight angle. Substitute Nico Williams added Spain’s fourth in the 89th minute.

The match was a repeat of the 2023 Nations League final, which Spain won on penalties. Al Jazeera reported that Spain came into the match after a 3-2 win over England at Wembley on Saturday.
