Yahoo Sports Questions Trey McBride’s Second-Round Fantasy Price

Trey McBride remains one of the strongest tight ends in fantasy football, but Yahoo Sports is questioning whether his expected price is justified in 2026 drafts.
McBride’s cost has risen to the late second round, around the second- and third-round turn. The analysis describes him as an excellent player but argues that selecting him at that range carries a premium for a position where the gap between leading options may be narrow.
The case for caution is based partly on projected regression. McBride reportedly scored 11 touchdowns last season after recording 237 catches across the previous two seasons, but Yahoo Sports does not expect him to repeat that scoring total. It also expects Arizona’s passing volume to decline.
Changes around the Cardinals add uncertainty to the outlook. The team has changed coaching staffs and invested heavily in its backfield, while quarterback usage could also affect McBride’s opportunities.
