Gary Woodland trails in second place at 11-under, while J.J. Spaun sits in third at 10-under. For Woodland, the stakes are particularly high as he began the week ranked No. 31 in the FedEx Cup standings. His current position suggests he is on track to secure a spot in Atlanta, provided he maintains his strong play.
The battle for the final spots in the top 30 is expected to intensify over the final two rounds. Players currently outside the cut line, including Patrick Cantlay and Justin Thomas, will need to improve their scores significantly to make the push for the Tour Championship.
