Wisconsin Badgers secure commitment from linebacker Nathan Jones
The Badgers add the Arizona native to their roster following an official campus visit, marking a significant development in their recruitment efforts for the upcoming season.

The Wisconsin Badgers have secured the commitment of three-star linebacker Nathan Jones to their 2027 recruiting class. The announcement confirms the recruitment of the Arizona native, who attended Desert Edge High School, bringing the Badgers' total number of commitments for the class to 15.
Jones becomes the second linebacker to join the cohort, following the earlier commitment of Keaton Wollan. Wollan was in attendance during Jones’s official visit to the campus over the weekend, signalling internal support for the linebacker position within the recruiting group.
The decision follows a recruitment process that gained significant momentum during the spring. While Jones had received offers from Arizona and Kansas State in January, his recruitment expanded in May when the Badgers formally offered him a scholarship. He subsequently received offers from Baylor, Florida State, and the University of North Carolina (UNC).
Wisconsin was the only institution to secure an official visit from Jones. Reports indicate that the Badgers had been identified as his top contender for the preceding two weeks, with the official visit serving as the decisive factor in his commitment.
The announcement follows an earlier commitment on the same day from four-star wide receiver Jai Jones. The Badgers had been linked to three of the six uncommitted targets visiting campus that weekend, with Jones among those prospects. The recruitment cycle remains active, with other programs such as Auburn also competing for elite 2027 targets, including defensive end Jabarrius Garror.
