Winslow Township appoints Jamal White as head football coach amid roster transition
The program faces significant changes entering the 2026 season following the departure of record-setting quarterback Jalen Parker.
Winslow Township High School in New Jersey has appointed Jamal White as its new head football coach, according to a report by NJ.com. White, previously an offensive coordinator in South Jersey, takes over the program succeeding Bill Belton, who departed for St. Augustine Prep. This appointment marks White’s first head coaching position.
The Eagles enter the 2026 season as the two-time defending New Jersey state champions in the NJSIAA Public Group 4 division. Belton leaves behind a highly successful tenure at the school, compiling a 42-9 record over four years. His leadership resulted in three consecutive sectional titles and back-to-back state championships.
The transition period is compounded by significant roster changes, most notably the departure of record-setting quarterback Jalen Parker. Parker, a member of the Class of 2027, has transferred to Gloucester Catholic High School. He holds the all-time New Jersey state record for career touchdown passes with 107.
During the 2025 season, Parker recorded 40 touchdown passes, including two in the state championship victory over Ramapo, which ended 34-21. According to MaxPreps data, he completed 194 of 310 passes for 3,048 yards and 38 touchdowns across 13 games in that season.
Winslow Township finished the 2025 campaign with a 12-2 record, securing the No. 5 spot in the final state rankings. The appointment of White signals a new chapter for the program as it navigates the loss of its primary offensive weapon and its long-serving head coach.
